The Maw is the tenth and final campaign level in Halo: Combat Evolved. This epic conclusion features the iconic Warthog run and several glitches.

Skip the Flood and Sentinel spawns in the engineering sections.

How to Perform

  1. Progress to the area before the armory/exhaust section
  2. Have Player 1 stay in the corridor
  3. Player 2 enters the armory/exhaust area alone
  4. The floor hazards and Sentinels won't spawn
  5. Proceed through to the blast ports and Gravity lift
  6. Player 1 can then follow safely

Why It Works

Certain spawn triggers require both players to be present. By having one player stay back, you prevent the spawns from activating.

Warthog Run Optimization

The famous ending sequence has room for optimization.

  • The path is mostly linear with few shortcuts
  • Speed and momentum are key
  • Some jumps can be optimized with the right angle
